Iowa Farm Bureau members encouraged by Rollins’ focus on export markets, farm bill and E15 during meeting in Washington.

U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins has announced an aggressive international trade agenda to strengthen new and emerging markets for U.S. agricultural goods.

Speaking to Iowa, Nebraska and Illinois Farm Bureau members in Washington last week, Rollins emphasized the importance of international trade and reaffirmed the Trump administration’s commitment to identifying and developing relationships with countries interested in agricultural trade deals.

 “I am planning to go way out into the world to new and emerging markets … to start striking new trade deals,” Rollins said.  “There’s an incredible opportunity out there. That’s going to be a big focus of mine once we get through these initial couple of months...
