The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) cattle on feed report last week showed a growing cattle herd in the United States and in Iowa.

There were 13 percent more cattle on feed in Iowa feedlots with a capacity of 1,000 or more head as of Feb. 1, 2018, over Feb. 1, 2017, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) said.
