Iowa Farm Bureau to focus on property taxes in 2021

Protecting property taxpayers, funding conservation and creating a state ethanol standard are key Farm Bureau priorities in 2021 Iowa legislative session.
During the 2021 Iowa legislative session, which began last month, Farm Bureau members will maintain their focus on protecting property taxpayers, including transitioning mental health funding away from property taxes toward an equitable funding source.
Members will also work with lawmakers to develop an ethanol standard for Iowa, work to adopt a farm driver permit for minors, continue the momentum in conservation and water quality through the Iowa Nutrient Reduction Strategy, as well as focusing on other key agricultural issues.
