Tucked into the countryside in Adams County is Bloomers Greenhouse, a backyard gardener's paradise.
When considering opening a greenhouse, Lori Boswell found the perfect location, which made her think, “There’s just so many things that are right here, that are working, that I think I can give it a go.”
Lori Boswell, an Adams County Farm Bureau member and owner of Bloomers Greenhouse in rural Corning, has two pieces of easy-to-remember advice for planting flowers.
For perennials, her saying goes: the first year you plant, they’re going to sleep. The second year, they’re going to creep. And the third year, they’re going to leap.
