Iowa Farm Bureau Federation President Craig Hill has been appointed to a pair of boards organized to help agriculture recover from the COVID-19 crisis.
Zippy Duvall, president of the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF), appointed Hill to the AFBF Cattle Market Working Group formed to examine recent market activity and factors that led to the disruptions in markets and extremely wide price disparities between cattle prices and prices charged by meat processors. The group will also consider AFBF's role in improving the overall market situation for cattle producers.
Iowa Agriculture Secretary Mike Naig appointed Hill to a state working group to develop recommendations to help Iowa agriculture recover and grow in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Iowa group will look at solutions to widespread supply chain disruptions, as well as ways to expand markets for Iowa ag and promote land stewardship.
