Despite moving higher in the last few weeks, Iowa average fertilizer prices are generally lower than they were a year ago. According to the IDALS survey of suppliers, anhydrous ammonia in the first half of November 2024 was $694 per ton, down $147 per ton from a year ago. MAP (Monoammonium Phosphate) averaged $805 per ton, up $8 per ton from a year ago, and potash was $460 per ton, down $49 per ton from a year ago (Figure 1).
