Duvall shines light on potential of FB leaders

American Farm Bureau president highlights grassroots strength that makes Farm Bureau the premier agriculture advocacy organization in the country.
American Farm Bureau President Zippy Duvall said he looked across the fence at his two new draft horses, named Georgia and Peach, and scratched their heads. When they didn’t flinch, he thought the horses had potential.
Duvall moved into the pen and ran his hand across the horses’ backs, and they remained still. More potential. When he finally put harnesses on them and took them for a ride, the horses responded impeccably to every command, Duvall said. The potential he saw in that first meeting was realized.
Speaking last week during the Young Farmer banquet at the Iowa Farm Bureau 106th annual meeting in Des Moines, Duvall challenged Farm Bureau members to live life to the fullest both at home and through their Farm Bureau involvement.
