Dairy Princess shares industry passion

The 64th Iowa Dairy Princess, Rachel Grober, is quite familiar with the dairy industry. She works on her family’s dairy farm, where they raise 140 head of cattle of various breeds.
“I am constantly convinced the ‘happy cows’ come from Iowa,” she said.
The Grober farm is in Ionia in northeast Iowa, just outside of New Hampton. It’s very much a family farm, she says.
There you’ll find her dad, Todd, caring for the calves, her brother, Jordon, fixing equipment and her mother, Sherry, working with the milking herd. Another brother, Jeremy, operates equipment for the family’s custom baling business. Jordon’s wife, Jessica, helps by making home-cooked meals.
