In anticipation of harvest, farmers need the latest information on regulations and exemptions that apply to them as they transport their crops. As part of Iowa Farm Bureau’s Margin Management Series, a live webinar will be held on Monday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m. Webinar participants will receive valuable information regarding registrations and licensing of farm vehicles, pre-trip inspections, vehicle weight, and much more. In addition, the webinar will include commercial vehicle information and rules.
This unique opportunity to learn and ask questions via text during the webinar can be a valuable resource for farmers. “Farmers need the latest information on transportation regulations and equipment issues, especially in preparation for harvest,” said Ed Kordick, IFBF farmer education program manager. “Officer Kyle Rich of the Iowa DOT, Motor Vehicle Enforcement unit will share the latest information with members to ensure they are up to date on transportation regulations in advance of harvest and increased agricultural traffic.”
