Working to keep swine fever out

Pork industry leaders last week commended the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the additional steps it is taking to prevent African Swine Fever (ASF) from entering the United States. Although ASF doesn’t affect human health or pose food safety risks, the risk of spreading to the United States is growing as outbreaks continue throughout China and other parts of Asia.
