Wet planting season possible this spring

A relatively mild winter and springlike February temperatures have Iowa farmers excited for an early planting season, which could come to fruition if short-term forecasts ring true.
Weather experts say an Iowa spring could bring equal chances for warmer than average temperatures and above normal precipitation following a winter dubbed as one of the warmest on record, despite approximately 2 feet of snow and bitter cold temperatures during one January week.
