A Feb. 20 article in the Washington Post points out AFBF’s opposition to more restrictive water policy. More constraints under the waters of the U.S. rule could negatively affect farmers by requiring them “to pay significant fees to gain federal permission for filling in areas on their property.” Increased restrictions could even put some farms and ranches out of business, notes the Post.
