Iowa Learning Farms, in partnership with Iowa State University and Michigan State University, will host a smart agricultural drainage system workshop at the Borlaug Learning Center near Nashua. Targeted Conservation for Layered Benefit: Using Data to Create Habitat

Join Steve Robisky for a discussion at his 15-year-old Conservation Reserve Program. Topics include using soils, topographic and yield data to identify marginal land for conservation opportunities, flexible CRP practices that can be tailored to many situations, the economics of establishing and maintaining prairie within the framework of a CRP contract, tips for managing weeds and encroaching trees on established prairie, and Pheasants Forever’s precision conservation incentive.
