Plans by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) to require cattle to carry high-tech ear tags at the expense of farmers have been put on hold.
The reversal follows industry pushback and a series of executive orders from the White House that limit federal agencies from creating rules beyond those approved by Congress.
