The current economic situation is the worst since the 1980’s farm crisis with no end in sight. With all the factors of trade instability, low prices, uncertainty of coronavirus impacts and spring planting, the pressure can be daunting.
American Counseling Association of Iowa has developed a list of a list of mental health providers interested in seeing new patients in sessions handled online, known as telehealth. Unique to this time is that Gov. Kim Reynolds issued an executive order that telehealth appointments are to be covered 100% by insurance carriers for the duration of the coronavirus crisis.
Farmers and other individuals do not have to travel to a counselor - a therapy session (talking out the problems) can be conducted through telehealth with Internet access. For the list of counselors(and contact information) ready to help, go to feelgoodiowa.com/
