Soybean conditions by state

As of the August 24 th USDA Crop Progress report, soybean conditions around the U.S. varied greatly. In Iowa, the soybean crop was listed as 21% in Excellent condition, 56% Good, 18% Fair, 4% Poor, and 1% Very Poor. Minnesota has 80% listed in Excellent/Good condition, Nebraska has 77% in Excellent/Good conditions, and Illinois has 52% in Excellent/Good condition. Soybean conditions aren’t as good in a few other states such as Indiana and Ohio where soybeans rated Fair/Poor/Very Poor are 53% and 56%, respectively.
In the map below you can see the condition of the soybean crop for each state, and the total size of the pie chart on each state represents the number of soybean acres planted in that state.
