Soil moisture continues to lag in most of Iowa

The weather pattern during November brought highly variable conditions across the Midwest, with temperatures swinging from around 20 degrees below normal to 20 degrees above normal during the month.
November precipitation in Iowa also varied a fair amount. There were areas where heavy amounts fell and totals into late November were above normal, but also many areas where totals were below normal late into the month.
