Syngenta says it doesn’t expect EPA to approve dicamba applications on soybeans in time for next year’s crops.
Farmers are unlikely to have the ability to spray dicamba over-the-top on soybeans next year, according to one of the companies seeking approval for in-season applications of the weed killer.
A federal court earlier this year vacated the registrations for three dicamba herbicide products previously approved for application on emerged soybeans and cotton. The court order affected Bayer’s XtendiMax, BASF’s Engenia and Syngenta’s Tavium products.
