Iowa-based Peoples Company is partnering with a Massachusetts technology company to offer carbon credits on more than 20,000 acres of managed farmland, Peoples CEO Steve Bruere said last week. 

The partnership makes Peoples the first land management company to offer carbon credits, which could potentially pay farmers and landowners an average of $20 per acre.
