Meat exports add value to corn and soybeans

The U.S. corn and soybean industries reaped significant returns due to a record value of beef and pork exports in 2022, according to an independent study released by the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) last week.
The study notes that U.S. pork and beef exports contributed about 15% per bushel to corn’s value and 13% per bushel to soybeans’ value in 2022, based on the use of corn and soybeans as livestock feed.
