Drought conditions are intensifying in the Corn Belt, particularly in Iowa and Illinois, according to the latest U.S. Drought Monitor. 

Drought conditions now cover 57% of the U.S. corn crop, 51% of soybeans, 64% of sorghum and 50% of winter wheat, marking a significant increase from the previous week. 

In Iowa, 67% of corn acres are located in areas experiencing moderate or severe drought, and 68% of Illinois corn acres are in moderate or severe drought.
