Hydrite Chemical Company was awarded a $3.95 million USDA grant last week to expand a pair existing fertilizer production facilities, including an Iowa location in Waterloo and another in Indiana. The expansion is expected to yield 10 million pounds of potassium thiosulfate and 2 million pounds of low salt fertilizer by 2027.
