Grain stocks sharply higher
Iowa soybeans in storage soar 54%, corn up 11% compared to last year at this time.

The U.S. Department of Agri­­culture's latest Grain Stocks report showed farmers in Iowa and across the United States are holding on to substantially more corn and soybeans than a year ago. 

Corn stored in all positions in Iowa on Sept. 1, totaled 306 million bushels, an 11% increase from Sept. 1, 2023. Of the total, 46% was stored on-farm.
