La Nina redeveloped last fall and continued in the Tropical Pacific this spring. 

Recently, these conditions have been mostly in the weak category but occasionally in the moderate category. La Nina conditions are forecast to continue in the near future and gradually weaken into mid-year, lingering longer than previous forecasts.
