Liquid Propane Shortage in Iowa

With colder than average temperatures dropping to 12.6 degrees below Iowa’s normal 33.0 degree average for this time of year, and slow harvests in Iowa’s corn fields, there have been resulting shortages of propane when needed most.
Much of Iowa’s corn crop remains unharvested, ranging from 32% complete in the North East crop reporting district, and up to 59% complete in the South East crop reporting district. This time last year, 69% of corn was harvested.
