“We got a few shots of rain and are seeing some green out there finally,” Glienke said Sept. 1. His farm got about 0.3 inch of rain last week, while just a few miles away saw 3 inches. He wrapped up silage last week. Estimates put it at 195 bushels per acres, but “I don’t think it was that good,” he said. Glienke expects the fourth cutting of alfalfa to start this week.
