Wild temperature swings hit Boettcher’s region last week, with daytime highs pushing the 100-degree mark and overnight lows in the 40s a few days later. She was working on silage Sept. 22, which gets stored in the farm’s silos. “Silage yields have been all across the board around here, anywhere from 60 to 230 bushels per acre,” Boettcher said.Devon Murray - Floyd County
