“Guys are on the tail end of silage chopping, and some have started earlage,” Kooiker said Sept. 16. “A few beans have come out, but not many. Fourth cutting hay is either down or being cut.” Yield appraisals for silage are better than expected considering the lack of moisture this summer, he said.
