Most corn in the area has tasseled, including fields planted in June, Rosburg said Aug. 1. “I don’t think we could have gotten much better weather for pollination. We’ve had some pretty cool weather the last 12 days,” he said. Fungicide applications are beginning on corn and soybeans. Soybeans are between R1 and R3 but remain short, with some 30-inch rows still not canopied.
