“We’ve been getting about the right amount of rain,” Boettcher said July 28. “Our tiles are still running a little, so the subsoil is holding plenty of moisture.” Crops look good even without rain for about two weeks. Fungicides and pesticides are going on corn; beans will get sprayed next. Boettcher has heard reports of corn rootworm beetles in the area.Devon Murray - Floyd County
