“We got another inch and a half of rain here. I’d say we’re looking pretty good,” Boettcher said Aug. 25. Moderate temperatures and moisture are helping with soybean pod filling. “We’re really hoping for a long fall now,” Boettcher said. “Holding off on that first frost would help a lot.” She also noted increasing aphid pressure on both corn and beans.
