“Crops and livestock were handling last week’s heat OK, Hofland said Aug. 24. “That 4.5 inches of rain we had a couple of weeks ago is paying off now. I think things look good,” he said. “I don’t know what we’ll get for yields, but I’m optimistic.” Insect and disease pressure remains light for the most part.
