Ten Napel was cleaning out grain bins last week and making other preparations for harvest. “Everything is looking tremendous right now,” he said Aug. 22. “We had about 1.5 inches of rain last week. That really made the beans take off.” Beans are still adding blooms and corn ears are filling out nicely, especially considering the conditions at planting.
