“We’re getting plenty of rain here off and on, but we’re dodging the big ones,” Rosburg said July 18. He had about 1.5 inches of rain last week, but amounts nearby exceeded 3 inches. Corn was just starting to tassel, and narrow-row soybeans are closing the row, he said. “We have some beans that are starting to flower,” he said. “I imagine fungicide applications will start fairly soon.”
