The center pivot irrigation systems are providing the moisture needed for about half of Fehr’s crops these days. “We’ve probably had a little over an inch of rain since May,” he said July 13. Crops in non-irrigated areas could definitely use the moisture, he said. Soybeans are shading the rows and blooming. Corn is tasseling in the area.
