“Farmers have been spraying postemergence herbicides, and a few have started sidedressing, Morey said June 1. Heavy rains in mid-May caused crusting issues in soybeans. “There’s been a lot of replanting and rotary hoeing going on,” he said. “Most of the first cutting of alfalfa got put up. Everybody is chopping and baling their winter rye. It sounds like it’s doing phenomenal this year.” Tanner Brass - Franklin County
