Planting wrapped up in mid-May, between rainstorms, Johnson said May 30. Post-spraying was underway last week. “We’re trying to get done before it starts raining again,” he said. A few farmers in his area are still planting soybeans, but most were done planting. Johnson’s neighbor just put up his first cutting of hay.
