“Corn shot up with rain and warm weather, Hofland said June 8. “We got under a cloud and had 1.3 inches of rain last week. It was a narrow rain. Seven miles away, they got a tenth,” he said. “The rows are closed on 20-inch row corn. It’s amazing how fast it’s growing.” He got first-cutting alfalfa put up and his corn sprayed before the rain. He plans to spray beans this week.”Joe Roberts - Wright County
