Rains covered Glienke’s area last week, but most of the corn and soybean seed is already in the ground. “I’d say we are about 95 percent done on corn and 75 percent or more on beans,” he said May 18. “Everybody pushed pretty hard to get it done before these rains.” Many corn fields and some soybeans have emerged, and stands look good, Glienke said. Hay is also ready to be cut, he said. “But it’s hard to find a window to do it.”
