“We did get a little bit of frost. Just enough to ding a few leaves on the corn,” Hoffman said May 13. “Most of the corn is up, and a big share of the soybeans are up or just starting to poke through.” He had about one-half inch of rain last week, but conditions are still very dry. “I’m thinking the hay crop is going to be short because it’s so dry,” he said. Cool temps have also slowed growth.
