“It’s dry, dry, dry. I don’t know if you can plant deep enough to get the seed into moisture,” Morey said. Farmers were spraying and doing tillage last week. There was a little planting, but most were waiting until after cold temperatures passed. “Most of the alfalfa is seeded, and oats are in,” added Morey, who raises corn, soybeans, alfalfa and cattle in addition to selling Latham Seed.
