Iowa start-up AccuGrain wins AFBF competition

Iowa start-up company AccuGrain, which provides a system to accurately measure grain on the go, captured the top prize last week in the American Farm Bureau (AFBF) Rural Entrepreneurship Challenge.
AccuGrain’s win, which was worth a total of $30,000 for the start-up in Rose Hill in Mahaska County, marks the second consecutive win for an Iowa start-up in AFBF’s two-year-old contest, which was launched to spur entrepreneurship in rural America. ScoutPro, an Iowa-based mobile crop scouting and pest identification technology, was named AFBF’s Rural Entrepreneur of the Year during 2015’s inaugural competition.
