Iowa sets corn yield record

Even with drought and other weather issues, Iowa’s average corn yields set a record in 2021, according to the most recent U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) crop production report.
Iowa farmers averaged 205 bushels per acre on corn for grain, the Jan. 12 report noted. This is a record yield and up substantially from 2020’s average yield of 177 bushels per acre.
