Iowa pork gives $25,000 for conservation projects

A partnership between the Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) and the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) will help pig farmers continue their work in improving water quality.
The IPPA has provided IDALS $25,000 in funding to help offset up to 50 percent of the costs for pig farmers to install saturated buffer projects or bioreactors on their farms, the groups announced at the Iowa Pork Congress in Des Moines recently.
