“Iowa Farm Bureau congratulates Dr. Wendy Wintersteen in her new role as Iowa State University’s next president. Through her many years serving as Endowed Dean of Iowa State University’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, or in her role as former director of Extension to Agriculture and Natural Resources, Dr. Wintersteen has dedicated her life to higher education and service. It is her leadership in not only agriculture, but areas which cross into agriculture such as economics, rural sociology and entrepreneurship, which make her well-suited for the role of ISU president. Dr. Wintersteen’s background in science and focus on innovation and business creation will suit her well in this critical role with ISU. Through her integrity and nearly 30 years of service to ISU, Dr. Wintersteen has proven she is well-prepared to lead our state’s elite land-grant university,” said IFBF President Craig Hill.
