IFBF Young Farmer Conference is set for Jan. 30-31

Industry tours and educational seminars featuring information and ideas to grow your farm will highlight the 2015 Iowa Farm Bureau Young Farmer Conference, Jan. 30-31 at the Des Moines Airport Holiday Inn. The conference will also feature the preliminary rounds of the Iowa Farm Bureau Young Farmer Discussion Meet, sponsored by John Deere.
Jayson Lusk, food and ag economist at Oklahoma State University, will deliver a keynote talk called "The Food Police." Michelle Payn-Knoper of Cause Matters will also deliver a keynote titled "Authentically Agriculture: Connecting People to People." In addition, the conference will feature breakout sessions on a range of topics including economics, farm succession, technology and social media. See full agenda.
The Young Farmer Conference is open to farmers ages 18-35. To register, contact your county Farm Bureau office. The registration deadline is Jan. 16.
