Craig and Patti Hill of Ackworth are among four couples being honored as 2025 Iowa Master Farmers by Wallaces Farmer magazine.

Hill served as Iowa Farm Bureau president from 2011-2021. He served a total of 32 years on the Iowa Farm Bureau board of directors, including 10 years as vice president and 10 years as president.

He was a steadfast advocate for conservation, trade and farm policy throughout his tenure, sharing information with officials in the U.S. and around the world about the impact government policies and lack of markets have on family farmers.

The Hills have been farming in Warren County since 1978, raising row crops and pigs. They have two children, Abbie and Adam.

Other 2025 Master Farmer honorees are Roger and Ellen Buehler of Odebolt, John and Joan Maxwell of Donahue and Stan and Karmen Mehmen of Plainfield.
