High-oleic soybeans become a option for more Iowa farmers

Iowa will join the list of high-oleic soybean producing states this year through contracts signed between the CHS processing plant in Fairmont, Minn., and north central Iowa farmers. Monsanto’s Vistive Gold high-oleic soybeans will be accepted by AGP in Manning.
"We’ve seen significant growth over the past five years since Pioneer went commercial with our Plenish high-oleic soybeans," says Brian Buckallew, senior grain production systems manager for DuPont Pioneer.
"We continue to expand acres, and we’re seeing a lot of good strong downstream growth from food processors."
