Grassroots policy development drives AFBF efforts

The American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF) is working diligently to address the concerns of U.S. farmers and ranchers on everything from high input and fuel costs to decreased labor availability, drought and competitive market worries, said AFBF President Zippy Duvall.
Duvall, the keynote speaker for the 2022 Iowa Farm Bureau President’s Conference in Altoona Aug. 20, said growers nationwide are uneasy about similar issues.
Duvall said he is confident AFBF’s efforts, and the grassroots efforts of those at the state and county levels, are making a difference.
“The power and strength of this organization lies with you, your board members and the people that you represent,” Duvall told a group of 126 county presidents and guests....
