Farm Bureau and other ag groups last week praised a bill passed by the House Agriculture Committee to create a uniform national standard for labeling food containing genetically modified (GMO) ingredients.

The bill, called the Safe and Accurate Labeling Act of 2015, would prevent costly and confusing state-by-state food labeling mandates.
